HCLC's Pastor

Pastor Jean leading worship at Whispering Pines

Pastor Jean Pagliaro began service as the new pastor at Halfway Creek Lutheran Church in July of 2007.  Pastor Jean is a seminary graduate from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.

She attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  She swam in college and had the opportunity to be a coach for the women's swim team.  Pastor Jean was a social work major and a psychology minor.  She enjoys reading, staying active with various sports, and keeping in touch with friends.  Pastor Jean can also play a mean game of ping-pong!

Her husband, Matt, and her have been married four years.  Matt teaches science at Sparta High School.  They are a very active couple and they enjoy doing anything outdoors, especially kayaking, camping, and hiking.  Matt is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing.

Matt and Pastor Jean have a vibrant yellow Labrador Retriever named Sage.  Sage and Matt are a delightful hunting pair, and Sage loves to retrieve anything from birds to bedroom slippers!

As a couple, they have a passion for serving God and God's people.  Pastor Jean is particularly passionate about preaching, leading various styles of worship, youth, outreach, and mission opportunities.
